After completing his legal education at the prestigious Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama, Steve was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1980. From there, he launched a journey of legal service that now spans over 45 years—each year marked by integrity, determination, and a deep belief in the power of the legal system to right wrongs.

At a recent St. Lucie Bar Association luncheon, he learned there was a growing need for more county court mediators on the Treasure Coast. Without hesitation, and with a heart still fully committed to service, Steve went back to training and became a certified county court mediator—adding yet another dimension to his already storied career. What’s more, he now donates his time to perform pro bono mediation work, simply because he believes that if he can help his community, he will. It’s just one more example of the humility, compassion, and servant leadership that define Steve Hoskins.
