Louis TurcoLouis D. Turco

SENIOR PARTNER, SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY & VETERANS’ DISABILITY

Attorney Louis D. Turco, a partner in the Law Firm of Hoskins, Turco, Lloyd & Lloyd, leads the Social Security and Veterans’ disability departments with Attorney Ian Lloyd.  Born in Buffalo, New York, Louis moved to the Treasure Coast in 1992. Mr. Turco obtained his undergraduate degree from Canisius College, graduating summa cum laude (highest honors) and served as a feature staff writer for The Griffin, the Canisius College school newspaper. He received his law degree from the College of Law at Florida State University, earned a prestigious Book Award for Commercial Paper, graduated in 1990, and was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year.

Mr. Turco is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims. He is a member of the Port St. Lucie Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, the National Organization of Veterans’ Claims, and the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates. For over 30 years, Mr. Turco has handled all matters of Social Security disability claims, including appeals, insurance claims, and supplemental security income.  He also handles all areas of Veterans’ disability claims, including service connection, increased compensation, and individual unemployability.

Attorney Louis Turco understands that filing for Social Security disability or Veterans’ disability is a complicated and time consuming process.  He knows that the situation becomes even more frustrating if the initial claim for disability is denied, and, unfortunately, most initial claims are often denied.   If a claim is denied, a family may be left with few other options. However, an initial denial doesn’t have to be the end of the process. Fortunately, statistics show that a disability claimant who is represented by an experienced attorney like Mr. Turco at the hearing level is twice as likely to be approved for disability benefits than a claimant who has no legal representation.  Mr. Turco has handled thousands of disability cases at all levels of appeal with successful results. He’s dedicated to successfully navigating claims for his clients through the Social Security disability and Veterans’ disability process.

An avid golfer, Louis and his wife Kelly live in Port St. Lucie and also enjoy snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
