GM & Honda Announce New Vehicle Recalls

GM announced today that it is recalling 50,000 2013 Cadillac SRX SUV’s due to an acceleration issue that could potentially cause an accident because acceleration can be delayed 3-4 seconds.

The company states that the problem happens when the transmission shifts from first to second gear in braking conditions under 5 miles per hour. The lag in acceleration does have the potential to cause an accident.

Honda also announced today that the manufacturer is recalling 25,000 2014 Odyssey Minivans due to a faulty side air bag issue.

The company is reporting that a faulty shorting terminal may cause the air bag warning light to illuminate which prevents the side curtain air bags from deploying.

Both recall issues will be resolved at no cost to owners. If you or someone you know drives one of these vehicles, call your dealer for more information.
